Vascular Surgery

This specialisation, thanks to the  advanced equipment of the Clinic, allows the treatment of all  arterial pathologies. Among other things, it can:

The constant EEG monitoring, the advanced equipment (instruments for blood  collection  and autotransfusion during surgery) the routine intensive care treatment immediately after surgery, and the excellency of the surgical techniques, allow the best results, even with the most difficult cases.
The Clinic has also an angiography unit, located  next to the operating theatres, where the endoluminal vascular operations are carried out. This new treatment allows the correction of aneurysms of the abdominal aorta, so avoiding traditional laparotomy. The endoluminal technique  of stenosis of iliac and femoral arteries avoids painful incisions.
The Unit of arterial diseases has echographs for early diagnosis of aneurysms of the abdominal aorta and echodoppler (?) for early diagnosis and follow-up of carotid stenosis. The general indications so acquired are later perfected by more advanced imaging using TAC, Magnetic Resonance, Angio RM, spiral TAC and ANGIOGRAPHY. The Unit is also staffed by specialists in metabolic diseases (arteriosclerosis, diabetes…) to ensure a correct and complete management of arteriosclerotic diseases.
