Hemodynamic and Angiocardiographic
The Clinic has a hemodynamic laboratory of diagnostic
and surgical cardiology that, differently from traditional surgery, allows to
operate on a closed chest either extending the narrowed arteries (ANGIOPLASTICS)
or opening failing cardiac valves (VALVULOPLASTICS). This technique allows
the successful treatment of one of the most frequent present day pathologies:
the stenosis of coronary arteries that causes angina pectoris and
myocardial heart failure.
Using the latest digitised and computerised instrumentation that allows a
very high definition of imaging, operations of recanalization of
coronary valves, through the use of the famous “inflated balloon” are
carried out . Today, other advanced instruments are used: “coronary
stents” (kinds of expanding springs), “aterothomy” (an instrument
that removes the arteriosclerotic plate), “rotating mill” (pulverisation
of restrictions)
